When a mysterious message appears at Ido’s clinic demanding that Alita “Come up,” she learns that Aga Mbadi, played by Mads Mikkelsen, has been hunting her for a far more dangerous reason. Alita’s Berserker body is deteriorating without Ido’s technology, and Mbadi wants her core intact so it can power COLOSSUS, a secret Zalem weapons program designed to reproduce ancient URM Berserker technology and awaken hundreds of combat shells. Rami Malek returns as Nova, a brilliant and unsettling mastermind who reveals that Alita was once known as Yoko, the legendary URM warrior whose core became the foundation for the technology Zalem now wants to replicate. I personally created every storyboard and visual in this “What If” concept from scratch, building a darker Alita sequel around revenge, identity, artificial intelligence, forgotten technology, and a war machine waiting beneath the city.
